I enjoy the shape the model's body makes in this image. I lit the backdrop with the bounced lighting and lit the model with the ring flash.
I played around with having my model step into the bounced light and in front of it. Here is the same lighting scenario of bounced and the model was lit with a large soft box.
Bounced backdrop. Large soft box on model.
Here is an example of where the floor wasn't going pure white. Bounce backdrop. Large softbox on model.

| Here I wanted more of back-lit feel without fully silhouetting. I turned down the ring flash considerably and turned up the heads bouncing onto the backdrop. |
Then I started playing with color!!! This totally revived my excitement and creativity. I just put a red/magenta gel on the left bounced head and a blue one on the right. I played around with having the model close to the backdrop and further forward. This was just a reflector with a large grid on the model.
These next two shots I played with dragged shutter speeds. As I released the shutter, the ring flash would pop and I would quickly pan the camera to the left. This gave me a kind of hazy red effect. I really am happy with these images!

you're the best jess!
